Why they chose to adopt
They chose to adopt because they wanted to add to their family and have some babies to love. They wanted a sibling group and their first sibling placement was a sibling group of 4, ranging in age from 3 to 12. These four become forever French ‘fries’ on Oct. 6th.
The Biggest Reward of Adopting
The biggest reward of adopting was becoming parents for the first time and making their family complete; having those babies to love and fill their home with laughter. Seeing the different personalities – a comedian, an artist, a helper, and a talker – just to name a few, has been so rewarding and has been such a blessing to their lives.

Others should join the Team and become foster or adoptive parents because it is so rewarding to help children in need – it’s all about love. Foster children endure so much heartbreak and trauma and being able to keep them together and provide a safe and stable family has been the biggest blessing to the family.

Why they chose to adopt
Mr. Moring is a single man, who first came to know Matthew in October of 2011. Matthew was a 14-year-old boy and legally free for adoption. Matthew is now 24 years old and served his country in the USMC and is married! Mr. Moring had always intended to adopt one day but realized there was a great need for parents willing to adopt teens. Matthew’s adoption was finalized in August 2012. Since that time, Mr. Moring has fostered a number of other children, primarily teens. Though he was committed to fostering and adopting teens, he agreed to accept placement of a 3-year-old boy in 2014, and later adopted this child, who is now named Tuck (age 12). He also accepted placement and later adopted Will (now 17), and recently finalized the adoption of Ozzy (age 16). Currently, he has a sibling group of two (ages 11 and 15) who are free for adoption. Mr. Moring is still in the process of evaluating the fit for these boys with the rest of the family.
The Biggest Reward of Adopting
Mr. Moring states, “The biggest rewards of adopting are the relationships you build with each child, and then watching them grow. I love seeing my boys develop the ability to trust, which they have never had.”

“There are so many kids who need just ONE PERSON who will care about them. And teens are cool! You build the relationship with them, and once they know they are safe, their behavior follows.”
Why the agency appreciates these caregivers as teammates
Mr. Moring has a heart for teens and a natural talent for bringing out their best. He helps each child explore his interests and find his own passion, then he supports them in their pursuit of their dreams. He has not always had it easy. As a single parent, he is often stretched thin, mentally, and emotionally. And with so many teenage boys in the house, issues arise from time-to-time. But Mr. Moring takes it all in stride and works hard to give each of his children (foster and adopted) what they need.
